Churches to be Legal Persons in Ukraine?

An effort underway in Ukraine to make religious organizations persons under law, as they are in most of the world, is opposed by a senior hierarch of the Kiev Patriarchate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Dmytry of Lviv and Sokal, who says that the new law would make it possible for lawsuits to be filed against churches in the case of disputes. 1. Wow, Jon, you are seriously becoming one of the best sources of news from Ukraine for me! Wish I had a bit more determination to read it all, but nonetheless, it helps. Thanks! :)

  2. I'm happy to be of service :-). If you hear anything involving the Orthodox or Ukrainian Catholics, feel free to pass it on! I do general checks of the news, but I don't have the time to do much in depth, so I'm sure I miss things :-/.
