Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan Calls for "Stability and Independence" for Syria

In a talk after Sunday Liturgy this past weekend in the Cathedral of St. Ephraim in Burbank, California, visiting Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan Mor Gregorios (Yohanna) of Aleppo stressed Syria's right to "stability and independence" and the need for peace in the country and freedom from outside ambitions so that the recent reforms enacted by the government of President Bashar al-Assad can have time to be implemented fully.
