New Dioceses Established in Ukraine

At today's session of the full Holy Synod of the autonomous Ukrainian Orthodox Church decisions were taken on the internal structure of the Church of Ukraine, among them the creation of the new Eparchies of Dniprodzerzhyns'k (in southeastern/central Ukraine), Dzhankoy (in Crimea), and Uman (in central Ukraine). The session was held as part of the opening today of the first All-Ukrainian Council of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church since 1992. More (in Ukrainian) here.
