I've seen this usually as "It is better to feed the hungry than to raise the dead." I used that as the epigraph for my novella, actually. After all, we have the opportunity every day to feed the hungry (or love one another).
Unfortunately I found this in an English-only version, so I don't know whether it's a different quote from yours (which is also beautiful) or whether the two come from the same quote in Greek. Either way it's a good reminder of what our lives as Orthodox should be like!
