Fr. Iakovos Tsigounis Elected Bishop of Meletoupolis

The Holy Synod of the Constantinopolitan Orthodox Church has elected a parish priest in Australia, Archimandrite Iakovos Tsigounis, Bishop-elect of Meletoupolis and auxiliary to Archbishop Stylianos (Harkianakis) of Sydney. He is the first Australian-born hierarch of the Greek Orthodox Church. God grant Bishop-elect Iakovos many years! More on Bishop-elect Iakovos and his election to the episcopacy can be found here.
