Holy Synod Elects Bishop of Yeysk

In addition to the other decisions taken at the recent meeting of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church it elected Igumen Herman (Kamalov) auxiliary for the Eparchy of Yekaterinodar as Bishop of Yeysk, my godmother's hometown in southern Russia (on the Sea of Azov). Axios! The dates of Bishop-elect Herman's elevation to the rank of archimandrite and consecration to the episcopacy have yet to be announced. More here.

Pictured is the Church of the Entrance of the Mother of God into the Temple in Yeysk.
