Pro-Democracy Iftar Organized in Egypt
Sufi Muslims, Copts, and several Egyptian political movements are calling for a mass iftar (breaking of the Ramadan fast) on 12 August to demonstrate the unity of Egypt and to call for the establishment of a civil, democratic state. More here.

Inter-Religious Iftar Held in Constantinople
In honor of Ramadan and to witness to inter-religious harmony leaders of Constantinople's Orthodox Christian, Jewish, and Muslim residents have celebrated an iftar (the evening meal that breaks the daytime fast kept by Muslims during Ramadan) in the former imperial capital, with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew (Arhondonis) of the Constantinopolitan Orthodox Church, Archbishop Aram (Ateshian) of the Armenian Orthodox Church of Constantinople, and Metropolitan Mor Filuxinos (Yusuf) of the Syriac Orthodox Church in western Turkey participating. Pope Shenouda Cancels Annual National Unity Iftar
It is being reported, although not yet officially, that Pope Shenouda III (al-Suriani) of the Coptic Orthodox Church has canceled the national unity iftar (breaking of the fast) usually hosted by the pope at the end of Ramadan. The iftar is reportedly being canceled so that the meal's cost can go to help needy Egyptians. More here.
