Coptic Orthodox Threaten to Sue Egyptian Interior Ministry
The Coptic Orthodox Church has announced that it will sue the Egyptian Ministry of the Interior if it does not initiate legal proceedings against those responsible for the New Year's bombing of All Saints' Church in Alexandria. More here.

Coptic Orthodox Church Calls for Investigation of Former Interior Minister
The Coptic Orthodox Church has called for the investigation of former Egyptian Minister of the Interior Habib al-Adly for his role in the deadly New Year's Eve bombing in Alexandria that killed 23 Copts. On the basis of the contents of secret police reports obtained by the Coptic Orthodox Church al-Adly is suspected of criminal negligence, and possibly much worse, regarding the bombing. More here.

Pope Theodoros Leads Graduation Ceremonies in Alexandria
Pope Theodoros II (Horeftakis) of Alexandria has led graduation celebrations at St. Athanasius' Patriarchal School in Alexandria, which is largely attended by students from
sub-Saharan Africa. During the graduation itself Pope Theodoros called on the graduating students preach the Gospel in their homelands and not to forget 'that the heart of the Orthodox Church of Africa beats in the Holy City of Alexandria.' More (in Greek) here.

Constitutional Referendum in Alexandria
Turn-out for today's constitutional referendum in Alexandria, Egypt, was high, with large numbers of Copts voting. It appeared that many Copts rejected the proposed constitutional amendments while supporters of Islamist movements seemed to vote for the amendments. More here.

Pope Theodoros Meets with Accra Metropolitan
Pope Theodoros II (Horeftakis) of Alexandria has met with the head of the Russian Orthodox representation to the Church of Alexandria and with Metropolitan George (Vladimirou) of Accra, who heads the representation of the Alexandrian Orthodox Church to the Church of Greece. During Metropolitan George's visit to the Patriarchate the 10th anniversary of his consecration to the episcopacy was celebrated. More here.

As unrest in Egypt has continued to rise Pope Theodoros II (Horeftakis) of Alexandria has divided his time between protest-ridden Cairo and the seat of the Patriarchate in Alexander.
