ROCOR Church in Cannes Receives New Rector

Protopresbyter Michael Boikov, formerly secretary to Metropolitan Hilarion (Kapral) of New York, has been appointed rector of the stavropeghial Church of St. Michael in Cannes, France. The Cannes parish was formerly the seat of Bishop Varnava (Prokofiev) of Cannes, who led it out of the communion of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia (ROCOR) and then returned with it to the ROCOR before finally being removed as its rector.
